The Olympic Experience
2008 Summer Olympics, Beijing, China
My Olympic Journey started in 2008, when I played an integrated part as a Streaming and Broadcasting Coordinator working directly for the Russian TV Channel “Sport”. My key responsibilities were to lead onsite services related to internal team logistics, transmission scheduling, and personal wellbeing. Taking into consideration the event was in Beijing, China this experience allowed me to experience new cultures and as well as allow me to learn how to adapt to new cultures and circumstances. This opportunity allowed me to experience a Global World class event as we orientate myself with the deliveries and responsibilities associated with this level of the event.
2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver, Canada
The Vancouver, Canada Winter Olympics of 2010, allowed me to experience and fulfill a childhood dream of seeing the Russian Team perform in a Figure skating duet. During the event, I continued to work for the Russian TV Channel “Sport” as a Television Producer. One of the major challenges that I experienced for the first time was the coordination of presenters and material packages related to the time zone. The collaboration with the OBS (Olympic Broadcasting Services), also was a new but rewarding engagement as we produced content for the Viewership back in Russia.
2012 Summer Olympics, London, UK
The 2012 London Olympics brought in its own challenges, but the rewards were just enjoyable. My responsibility during this event was that of the Senior Television producers, which allowed me more responsibility regarding managing teams and forecasting Project Management as the key to the deliverables associated with the event. The deliverable and scheduling of resources prior to the event which included onsite visits, infrastructure, and delivery outcomes allowed me to understand the dynamics related to planning and delivering a world-class event.
2016 Summer Olympics, Rio, Brazil
The Brazilian Olympics was truly an experience that allows me to fulfill a career highlight of working as an Executive Producer for the Russian Television Channel. My key responsibilities were to directly assist and negotiate Cross Border agreements, orchestrate license contracts, and oversee production schedules and production levels. The management of over 150 individuals and their deliverables was challenging but rewarding through a method of clear communications and guidelines.
